Joe Slick
Growing up in a home filled with music, Joes father was a professional musician whom had hosted jam sessions in their home most every weekend. Joe, dreaming of being a musician, learned to play the guitar at a very early age and has been singing his entire life.
A Washington state native, Joe married the love of his life, Dawn and together they have four sons and a dog named Jake. Family is of utmost importance to him. They can be found together enjoying fishing, camping, baseball, football and arm wrestling competitions. Joe has to his credit two world arm wrestling titles. Physical fitness and health are also a big part of his daily routine.
Joe was a plant manager for Cadman Rock in Monroe, Wa when he decided to pursue his life long dream of a career in the music industry and became self-employed as the owner of an entertainment company. In addition he also operates a company that does specialized welding maintenance on rock crushers.
Since 1991, Joe has traveled between Nashville and Washington state to record demos. Some of which are songs that he has written himself. He had recorded two albums that were not released to the public. He recorded his third album with KMA Records In May of 2004 and it was released at the Sultan Summer Shindig in Sultan, Wa on July 7, 2004 with overwhelming response.
Starting in the spring of 2004, Joes musical career has been greatly advancing. He performed on the same stage as artists Billy Gillman and Jimmy Wayne at the Gaylord Center in Nashville, TN to a crowd of more than 17,000 people. Bringing this crowd to its feet was one of the highlights of his performing career.
Some of the highlights of his career have been sharing the stage with Julie Roberts and jamming with her band at The Riverside Casino in Tukwila. Performing with Flo from KMPS at a Cancer Benefit in Bothell. Performances at the Sultan Summer Shin-Dig, and a membership drive concert for the Monroe Eagles to a packed house. The Evergreen State Fair, Quinault Casino and most recently the huge Martina McBride Block Party with 100.7 The Wolf.
